Priscilla envisioned her wedding featuring a dreamy yet coastal chic color palette that would transport her guests to the streets of Charleston, all while keeping it complimentary to the historic city hall venue. The palette comprised of mixed metallics like gold and pewter enhanced with organic garden tones like soft blush and rich greens.

The bride and groom are rooted in the historic district of downtown Brunswick so they wanted their wedding to showcase the charm the area has to offer. Since the event was hosted in April, the bride made whimsical florals centerstage to her design concept, despite the classic indoor ceremony and reception. A fun pop of print faced the bar to tie together her invitation suite, and palm-beach decor was placed on almost any surface to keep the theme.

Priscilla’s husband Brandon works in wine, and this took the couple to New York City to attend “La Fête du Champagne,” a gala celebrating champagne houses and boutiques. New York boasts hundreds of Michelin-star restaurants; with the couple being lovers of food and wine, Brandon knew this was the perfect setting to begin the rest of his life with Priscilla. Brandon surprised Priscilla with an intimate dinner at Per Se, overlooking Central Park. Their 8-course dinner concluded with a silver platter presenting a bed of orchids, in which laid the engagement ring of Priscilla’s dreams.

Priscilla wanted her gown to be one of ethereal daydreams. From the Jenny Yoo collection at BHLDN, Priscilla chose a tulle A-line ball gown with delicate floral detailing on the structured bodice. To add a touch of modest elegance and whimsy, she commissioned organza puff sleeves. Tying everything together, her custom cathedral-length veil featured subtle floral appliqué at the hemline.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bride wanted to build upon the garden party theme of her reception
while inviting the bridesmaids to express themselves. Priscilla decided to have her bridesmaids
adorned with different dresses of pink, green, and florals incorporating both colors. This
provided both a lively pop of color to the venue and a nod to the coastal aesthetic.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The couple has a standing Sunday date of playing tennis, followed by fried
chicken and waffles at their favorite restaurant on Saint Simons Island. It was a no-brainer that
their wedding day would feature their favorite meal, among other classic Southern traditional
foods.[/field]

Old City Hall serves as a stunning venue, with rich dark wood and iconic historical elements. This baseline aesthetic made it easy to enhance its charm with whimsical garden florals and gold accents. The bride chose to incorporate varying table linens, with solid colors and patterns across different tables, adding depth and visual interest to the reception space. She opted for custom pillows on the cocktail settee, curating the perfect scene for post-toast lounging. The bar was dressed in an iconic Thibaut fabric, the very same pattern incorporated in the envelope liner of the wedding invitations, tying the coastal and garden party aesthetics together.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]If there is one thing this bride knows, it is sweets. Priscilla wanted a classic and
timeless wedding cake. The couple chose a light and fluffy vanilla cake with a tangy and sweet
raspberry filling, a perfect match for the Côtes du Rhône wine they enjoyed that evening.[/field]

The custom bar was wrapped with a fun coastal pattern from Thibaut, which also matched the envelope liner to their wedding invitations. Paired with fun palm beach rattan decor like lamps and their embossed cocktail napkins, it was the perfect centerpiece for their reception.

The bride and groom invited guests to take Polaroids for a keepsake guestbook photo album commemorating the wedding night. The photo album continues to be a treasured memento for the couple, offering glimpses of the vibrant joy each wedding guest expressed for the couple on their special night.
