Families appeal for support to bury protest victims

Families of those who lost their lives following the anti-finance bill protests are appealing for financial support to lay their loved ones to rest.

They also want the government to hasten the postmortem exercise to enable them to accord their departed kin a timely and decent send-off.

165 injured protestors were admitted to the facility on Wednesday. Some have been discharged.

Police have been in the spotlight for using excessive force during the demonstrations which have left at least 10 people dead.

This comes as a blood donation drive kicks off across the Country with most people who turned up saying they are doing it in solidarity with the victims.

The drive also ongoing in other parts of the Country will run until Sunday. So far, 2,000 pints of blood have been collected since Monday Countrywide.
